Open Door Fellowship Church - Pastor Terry
" The God I know wants to
reach everybody, so this church
is open to anyone in
need, anyone who is hurt."

Senior Pastor
Terry McAllister
The Senior Pastor of Open Door Fellowship, Terry McAllister was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, in 1960, and was brought up  in Ripples. He attended high school in nearby Minto, and was called to the ministry at age14. Right out of high school, Terry enrolled in Northeast Christian College in Fredericton where he met his future wife, Adrianne (Addie) of McNamee, NB. They married on June 6, 1980. The McAllister’s have a daughter Brandi, of Stonewall, Manitoba, and a son Javan, of Brockville. Adrianne has a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Counseling and Church Administration. Together they have been involved in full-time ministry for over 30 years.
Terry also continued his studies over the years, and finished his Masters in Theology at Parkersburg, West Virginia in 2007. A pastor from the age of 20, Terry has become known as ‘the church builder’ – to date, he has started and built three churches. Pastoring a church in Durham Bridge, NB, since 1995, the McAllister’s heard in 2002 that Open Door Fellowship needed a pastor to replace retiring Reverend Ian Kelsey, who founded Open Door in 1985. They fell in love with Brockville, and Brockville fell in love with them, as the congregation voted to call the McAllister’s to serve. Since that time, Open Door has consistently had on-going growth in both the size of the congregation as well as the church facilities. Terry also remains active in the International Apostolic
Fellowship in the United States, and as the Bishop of the New Road Apostolic Fellowship of New Brunswick. Like his grandfather – an ‘old-time’ revival preacher – before him, Terry believes there is no greater calling than to bring people to God, and he makes himself available, whenever possible, to preach revival meetings. Terry strives to make church exciting and fun. But most importantly, his conviction and faith remain grounded in the Bible –
“You can’t exhaust the Word of God. If you love God, the Bible always stays new”.
Open Door Fellowship Church - Pastor Paul
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.
John 10:10

Associate Pastor
Paul Steckly
Associate Pastor Paul Steckly was born in Kitchener, Ontario, in 1969. Paul grew up on a farm with his parents, and they moved to Athens in 1981. Paul was educated in a small private school; when he completed his education, he worked at various jobs, including construction locally with Tackaberry’s. He also worked as an AZ licensed transport truck driver for RailTran. During the seven years that Paul served as a lay pastor in the Athens area, Paul was ordained as a pastor through the Emmanuel Fellowship of Independent Churches in 1998. Paul met his wife Sarah, who was born and raised as a farm girl in Hesston, Kansas, while occasionally attending church in New York State. They were married in 1991, and have been blessed with seven beautiful children. They live on a hobby farm in Mallorytown, where the family raises chickens, pigs, cattle and vegetable crops. Paul and his family have attended Open Door Fellowship for eight years, and he was appointed as Associate Pastor in 2007. Paul achieved his Bachelor of Theology from Brockville Bible College in 2009, and is working toward a Masters degree. Paul is very dedicated to the church; a very dynamic preacher, he is also Sunday School Superintendent, Junior Youth Leader, and he leads both church-based and home bible study groups. Paul stresses that one of the most important parts of his ministry is to see that children and our youth come to know the truth and word of God – “It’s great when people of any age come to know God, but it’s so much better not to have lived the guilt and regrets that many people experience when they live life without seeking Him”.
